New to shooting or looking to sharpen your firearm skills? We offer Introductory to Advanced classes as well as Private Range Instruction.
Our first Annual Well-Armed Shepherds Church Safety Conference is an all-day event covering the many facets of church safety led by a USCCA Certified Instructor. Being well-armed doesn't mean just weapons, as this will be a topic covered during the conference. It means arming your people with the best tools, training, resources and information needed to put together the best safety plan for your house or worship, business, home and everyday life.
Attending this event will give you the opportunity to complete Levels 1 and 2 of the USCCA Protector Academy Range Certifications. This class is an opportunity for you to complete all of the drills with a Certified USCCA Firearm Instructor. You can participate in the drills as many times as you need to complete each level's requirements. Level 1 will require 50 rounds in order to complete the qualification and Level 2 will require 18 rounds. You must provide all ammunition needed for the day, holster and necessary equipment.
This class is built and designed for beginner, intermediate and advanced shooters. The core instruction will focus on defensive shooting fundamentals with drills and techniques taken from the USCCA curriculum. This 2 hour class will focus on working from a concealed holster. Some of the skills taught will be: Safely drawing and holstering a concealed firearm, Tueller Drills, grip and stance with a firearm, effective target acquisition and much more. You will need a holster that is capable of concealing a firearm either IWB (Inside the waistband) or OWB (Outside the waistband). Holsters should be made for the specific firearm's make and model. Universal and active retention holsters will not be allowed in this class. Active retention means any holster that requires the user to use his/her trigger finger to release the firearm from the holster. If you need a conceal carry holster contact us to order one of our custom hand made holsters. Plan on using between 75-150 rounds of ammunition for this course. A speed loader is recommended for this class. These can be purchased from our online store. Snap Caps will also be used for one or more drills. They can be purchased online through Amazon and other retailers.
In this class you will learn everything from California and Federal firearm laws, proper gun storage, cleaning, transporting and overall general knowledge of multiple types of firearms. In this class you will learn how to safely take apart and clean semi automatic pistols, shotguns and AR-15 Rifles. You will receive free gifts and demonstrations of products from some of our industry partners and receive special discount pricing as well. You will also get hands on learning on products and gear that you will need for safe and responsible gun ownership at home and at the range. You will also get information about the USCCA firearm liability insurance and what the USCCA has to offer for firearm owners.
For all of our introductory and beginner courses we will provide all the firearms and ammunition if applicable. The cost will be included in the course fee. Please note: Due to Covid ammunition prices may increase the cost of the course at any time due to increase in pricing.
